Basic Troubleshooting Requirement's

These are basic troubleshooting steps to be followed while helping the teacher to connect with Teacher app and resource download

Patience -

Display Patience as the Tab's have a mediocre configuration  

Update content - 

  • Please ensure that the Tablet is connected to a reliable internet connection.
  • From TA, Sync All the unsaved data if not already synced.
  • Click on the content update from the menu section, select the class-subject combination that the teacher uses most and click on the Content Update button to continue.
  • After the content update, wait on the Teach page for 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Now ask the user to click on the Download button next to all units for the selected class-subject combination.
  • Select other classes and subjects one by one and download all units.
  • After the action is completed, ask the user to open a few random units (from the different class & subject combinations) and check if everything is working normally

Casting - 

  • Do all Smart TVs have Miracast for screen casting - No, they will have a casting option but it could be done through any App. Like Anycast, TV cast, Chrome cast, X cast, Screen share ...etc. What you have to look for is a casting app that enables it to cast the tab on the TV.
  • Do not start TV casting while the tablet is downloading resources through the NAS device Reason: Resource downloading takes lots of resources (memory and processor) and when the tablet is connected to the TV, the tablet utilizes all of its resources causing intermittent jittering or frame drops or lags.
  • Do not put your tablet on 'Power Saving' mode while connected to the TV
    Reason: Power saving mode reduces processor speed from 15% to 30% which can lead to casting performance issues.
  • Please keep the tablet's battery above 50% (not below 30%) when starting the casting
    Reason: It has been observed that when the tablet battery is below 30%, it slows down the processor speed slightly, and in the end, the tablet engages power saving mode that further reduces the tablet's performance.
