Class Observation/Teacher Timeliness & Teacher Performance Report
This article will help us to understand what is CO & SLC
OC - Observation & Coaching
Who rates the teachers for OC - The School AEM
How it's done - Teacher Management --> Class Observation --> Click on Add CO
Why it's done - To gauge the teacher's performance
What are the parameters for the OC - Read the Rating Guidance on the Nucleus
Teacher Timeliness
Refer to the link to get a basic understanding of Teacher Timeliness - Click Here
Let's understand the logic of unit competition & teacher timeliness by using the example below E.g
Example:
Total day plans in the Class 1 Maths curriculum (D): 120 (published on Delta)
Total teaching days available as per calendar (T): 150
The system calculates the minimum pace of teaching required to complete the syllabus on time:
Minimum required teaching pace (D/ T) = 120/150 = 0.8 day plans every teaching day.
At the end of 20 teaching days, let’s say the teacher has marked 12 ‘day plans’ complete.
Actual Completion (C) = 12 day plans
Expected completion (E as per minimum required pace) = 0.8 x 20 = 16 day plans
Comment on the report - The teacher is lagging behind by (E-C) 4 days
Now the teacher will be given ratings by the Principal/AC for the Remedial plan.
How to rate Teacher Timeliness: Teacher Timeliness --> Remedial -->Select the rating for the relevant teacher
Note:
- The school has to fill the start date & end date on the Academic calendar
- The value of total day plans in the curriculum is critical to the timeliness calculation. If this value is incorrect, it will affect the timeliness value.
Teacher Performance
Based on the ratings given to the teacher for the above parameters, we have a report ready in the Teacher Performance section
How to access Teacher Performance - Quality --> Teacher Performance
Based on the ratings we will have the Top 5 teachers & Bottom 5 teachers (Teachers who need support)
